Solid color panel and class colored text won't apply in any Midnight versions - v3.198-beta-4

My normal panels are solid pink with class colored text, I've had this for well longer than 10 years and I was glad to get my VuhDo back after prepatch. Yet I was greeted with this other look on login.
I deleted the old version from my addon folder, extracted the beta version and somehow all my settings seem intact, but the solid panel colors won't apply. I have this weird transparent grey panel with blue text instead of class colored text. I spent more than an hour trying to troubleshoot this. Any ideas?
